Draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan 2024-2029
Bedford Borough Council has produced a draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan 2024–2029 for public consultation and would like your feedback.
The draft plan sets out their vision to:
- ensure the PRoW network is a valued as an asset
- improve service provision and work with network users
- maintain a safe and easily accessible network
- get people involved
- inform and promote the network
The consultation runs from 18 March until 17 June 2024 and can be accessed here:

Report a problem on a public right of way
If you have found a problem with one of the rights of way, you can report this to Bedford Borough Council. You can report problems such as:
- overgrown plants or weed
- footpath or bridleway needing repair
- obstructions on the rights of way such as vehicles, or dead animals
- damaged bridge
- broken gates
- dangerous animals
