Draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan 2024-2029

Bedford Borough Council has produced a draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan 2024–2029 for public consultation and would like your feedback.

The draft plan sets out their vision to:

  • ensure the PRoW network is a valued as an asset
  • improve service provision and work with network users
  • maintain a safe and easily accessible network
  • get people involved
  • inform and promote the network

The consultation runs from 18 March until 17 June 2024 and can be accessed here:

Report a problem on a public right of way

If you have found a problem with one of the rights of way, you can report this to Bedford Borough Council. You can report problems such as:

  • overgrown plants or weed
  • footpath or bridleway needing repair
  • obstructions on the rights of way such as vehicles, or dead animals
  • damaged bridge
  • broken gates
  • dangerous animals
